Mary Stinson Pillsbury Lord (1904-1978) was heir to the Pillsbury flour fortune, who devoted her life's work to public health and social welfare. During her career she held chairmanships of many national committees. As chair of the Civilian Advisory Committee for the Women's Army Corps (WAC), Lord traveled extensively throughout Europe and the Middle East, touring WAC installations and studying the needs of WACs.
